Dùcthas necklace
Dùcthas [pronouced:doo-gh-as] - the connection we have to our homeland - and to the ancestors and heritage that evovled from that land. That we belong to the land as much as it does to us. The sense of repsonsibilty we have to the land and our roots is also a part of dùcthas. We are all connected. We are the link between the generations that came before us and those coming after.
The Dùcthas necklace (a more delicate version , Wee Dùcthas, is also available) is inspired by the meaning of this Gaelic word. The gold link in each necklace represents us. They are deliberatly not perfect. They are lightly textured to show how life leaves it's unique mark on us.
What do you feel most connected to?
Choose which link speaks loudest to you either for its shape or the meaning of that shape.
Hearts (love, our connection to the people (and animals!) we love).
Stars (divine, protection, positivity, happiness, renewal).
Triangles (a dynamic force of creation, the fire of consciousness which represents clarity of mind, the number three is sacred in many faiths).
Circles (unity, oneness, harmony).
Square (stability, strong foundations and order).
A simple yet distinctive necklace. Great for layering. Bold enough to wear on its own.
